RECORDER MANUAL

EEG_Recorder Software

EEG recorder for MOBIlab+ contains the following main functions:

Record EEG

Generate a live view of EEG (in time domain and frequency domain)

Saves EEG to RAM, and/or hard disk and SD card

Analyze EEG data using several toolboxes

eeg_recorder_main

Record EEG

start_stop

Start recording EEG:

  1. Select total duration of recording (s)
  2. Press start
  3. Wait until the EEG recording starts
  4. After set duration, the experiment finishes and the entire recorded EEG is plotted
  5. Save the data for further analysis in data folder

Stop EEG button:

  • Stops recording
  • Stops analogue input
  • Keeps data in RAM
  • Keeps figure as it was when save was pressed

Clear button:

  • Stops recording
  • Stops analogue input
  • Clears analogue input object from memory
  • Clears all data from memory
  • Clears figures

Save and Load

save_load

Save recorded EEG:

  • Data are only recorded to RAM (and optional to SD). To save data to disc use the save function.SAVE first, Discuss later!
  • Load saved EEG:
  • EEG recorder can also be used to view recorded data. Note that the entire recording is plotted. So, Incontrast to live view, the single sided amplitude spectrum is also generated using the entire signal.

Adjust LIVE view

The settings in this panel are for display purposes only, to accomodate inspection of the data during recording. They will NOT effect the recorded and saved data

live View

Preview sample length

The number of samples that are plotted in the time domain window.

256 samples displays 1 second. (Default = 1024 samples: 4 seconds of data.)

FFT sample length

The number of samples that is used to generate the FFT (Fast Fourier Transformation) and plot the signal in the frequency domain. (Default = 1024 samples)

Note: The FFT sample length should always be smaller or equal to the preview sample length.

Channel spacer

This number determines the distance between the plotted channnels. Smaller number = bigger signal amplitude. (Default = 10)

FFT frequency range

Set the range of frequencies that are plotted live in the powerspectrum window. (Default = 0.1 to 128 Hz).

Channel selector

Regardless of the selection: ALL channels will be recorded and saved.

Here, only channels 1 - 6 are visible in the window, whereas all channels are recorded and saved

Dio selector

ONLY the selected DIO channels will be recorded and saved

In this case, DIO channels 1 & 2. DIO Channels 4-6 are Lost
